Job Description
A Senior Product Manager responsible for developing and executing the strategy and roadmap for Samsara's Developer Platform, focusing on building developer tools, integrations, and ecosystem growth to enable innovative connected operations solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own strategy, roadmap, and execution for Samsara's Developer Platform to deliver developer tools and experiences.
- Understand and advocate for developer needs by building relationships with customers and partners.
- Partner with customer-facing teams to close strategic accounts, resolve escalations, and maintain top customer relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, developer relations, and product marketing to develop the developer platform.
- Define and execute the product roadmap for technical areas, using analytics to measure progress and inform investment decisions.
Requirements
- Experience leading products at a world class developer platform company, with a strong understanding of how to successfully scale developer ecosystems by empowering and enabling a community of developers
- Strong technical expertise in REST APIs, webhooks, SDKs, and app platforms, with an ability to grasp new technical concepts and establish credibility with engineers
- A proven track-record of delivering outstanding results for customers and the business, managing significant complexity and bold timelines, with a bias-to-action and willingness to get hands dirty
- Demonstrated experience defining and executing product roadmap for technical areas, and using analytics data to measure progress toward goals, manage tradeoffs, and make investment choices
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to customers and internal audiences, including senior executives, and able to drive cross-organizational alignment with high judgment and effectiveness
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a computer science degree
- Experience working as a Software Engineer and/or experience writing and shipping production-level code
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS products and working with B2B sales teams
- Ability to partner with customer-facing teams to close strategic accounts, resolve escalations, and maintain relationships with top customers
