Job Description

The Senior Benefits Partner is responsible for designing, administering, and optimizing employee benefits, leave programs, and global immigration processes across North America, ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience in a remote, fast-growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end administration of employee benefits programs across US, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Serve as primary liaison with benefits brokers, vendors, and carriers to ensure accurate enrollment, billing, and issue resolution.
  • Lead annual open enrollment activities, including communications, testing, and microsite updates.
  • Develop and maintain compliant processes for benefits, leave, and mobility programs in accordance with regional regulations.
  • Analyze benefits utilization data and employee feedback to identify opportunities for program improvement.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of Leave of Absence (LOA) programs, ensuring compliance and seamless employee experience.
  • Partner with payroll, HR, and external administrators to ensure accurate leave tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Support interactive accommodation processes and return-to-work plans.
  • Lead global immigration strategy, case management, and relocation processes for new hires, transfers, and renewals.
  • Partner with external counsel to ensure timely immigration filings and risk mitigation.
  • Provide guidance on global mobility policies, tax implications, and employee support during relocations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on benefits, leave, immigration, and mobility questions.
  • Build partnerships with internal teams and external vendors to support employee programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain audit-ready documentation and processes.
  • Generate reports on benefits metrics, leave trends, and immigration case status.
  • Proactively evaluate and improve processes for scalability, efficiency, and employee experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in benefits, Leave of Absence administration, and global mobility immigration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of US federal and state regulations including FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA, and working knowledge of Canadian and Mexican frameworks.
  • Experience partnering with immigration counsel and managing immigration cases across multiple countries.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Experience with tech operations and benefits administration systems.
  • Familiarity with Workday benefits administration system.
