The Enterprise Sales Director at Samsara is responsible for leading and expanding the enterprise field sales team, driving customer success, and promoting the adoption of IoT-based solutions across various industries to improve operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Implement coaching and development programs for Field Sales Representatives
Collaborate with leadership to develop performance metrics
Coordinate with Field Sales Engineers and support teams to meet performance and customer expectations
Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing, inclusive sales team
Drive enterprise sales efforts and expand market presence
Embed and promote Samsara's cultural principles within the sales team
Requirements
Previous experience supervising a sales team in a management capacity
Proven track record of ability to train, spearhead and motivate enterprise sales teams
Minimum of 8 years of technology sales experience
At least 5 years of experience managing a sales team
Solid understanding of Salesforce (SFDC)
Experience leading and building a Field Sales Team (preferred but not explicitly mandatory)
Experience managing a sales team for at least 3 years
Ability to implement effective coaching and development of Field Sales Representatives
Ability to collaborate with executive leadership to develop performance metrics
Ability to coordinate the involvement of Field Sales Engineers and support teams to meet performance objectives and customer expectations
Ability to sell into all levels of an enterprise organization in both technology and lines of business
