Job Description

This role involves selling Samsara's IoT solutions to mid-sized customers, managing complex sales processes, building relationships, and helping industries improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability through sensor data and connected operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop relationships with mid-sized customers to promote Samsara's IoT solutions.
  • Conduct research to identify potential customers and expand the sales pipeline.
  • Engage in live prospecting through cold calling and outreach to generate new leads.
  • Manage and execute proof of concepts (POCs) and trials with customers.
  • Negotiate multi-faceted pricing and close deals ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 in annual revenue.
  • Learn and understand the specific industries and businesses to tailor sales approaches.
  • Collaborate with team members and leverage CRM tools like SFDC to track sales activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a full-cycle, closing sales role.
  • Experience independently closing new deals larger than 10,000 USD in annual revenue.
  • Proven track record of consistent quota achievement.
  • Experience selling in the midmarket space involving medium to large deal sizes.
  • Experience with high-volume cold calling.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC).
