Job Description
The Director of Quality will lead the development, implementation, and scaling of Rondo's Quality Management System to ensure high standards of safety, reliability, and performance across the company's operations, working strategically and hands-on to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Develop a quality strategy aligning long-term system development with short-term execution.
- Lead the design and implementation of quality processes across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality practices in operations.
- Build and promote a culture of quality through communication, training, and enforcement of procedures.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvements in product quality and process efficiency.
- Serve as the primary contact for external audits, customer quality requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in quality management in hardware, energy systems, or industrial equipment environments.
- Strong knowledge of QMS frameworks ISO 9001 or equivalent and quality tools such as FMEA and root cause analysis.
- Proven ability to build and scale quality systems in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
- Experience working across product and project lifecycles including design, manufacturing, installation, and field operations.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills able to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated success in project management and driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to develop a vision for quality systems and build a quality strategy that balances long-term system development with short-term execution.
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling a Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ability to embed quality practices throughout operations by partnering with product, engineering, supply chain, and project delivery teams.
- Experience serving as the point of contact for external audits, customer quality requirements, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Ability to build a culture of quality through effective communication, training, and enforcement of QMS procedures.
- Strategic thinking with flexibility, pragmatism, and bias for action suitable for a startup environment.

Annual salary range of $200,000 to $230,000
