Job Description
The Director of Quality will lead the development, implementation, and scaling of Rondo's Quality Management System, ensuring operational safety, reliability, and performance through strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and scale the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Lead the design and execution of quality processes across the organization.
- Build and lead the quality team to support organizational growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality practices in operations.
- Establish a culture of quality through communication, training, and enforcement of procedures.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvements in product quality and process efficiency.
- Serve as the primary contact for external audits, customer quality requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in hardware development, energy systems, or EPC project environments.
- Strong knowledge of QMS frameworks ISO 9001 or equivalent and quality tools such as FMEA and root cause analysis.
- Proven ability to build and scale quality systems in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
- Experience working across product and project lifecycles including design, manufacturing, installation, and field operations.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills able to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated success in project management and driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Strategic thinking with the flexibility, pragmatism, and bias for action required in a startup environment.
- Ability to design, implement, and scale a Quality Management System (QMS) across the organization.
- Ability to develop and execute a holistic quality strategy, balancing long-term system development with short-term execution.
- Experience building and leading a quality team as the organization grows.
- Ability to partner with product, engineering, supply chain, and project delivery teams to embed quality practices throughout operations.
- Experience serving as the point of contact for external audits, customer quality requirements, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Willingness and ability to be on-site at the Alameda HQ 2-3 times per week in a hybrid work environment.

Annual salary range of $200,000 to $230,000
