Key Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle project execution from pursuit and estimating through construction and closeout
- Manage design-build and engineer-led projects , coordinating closely with engineering, environmental, and field teams
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans
- Oversee project financial performance , including budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
- Direct and coordinate field construction activities , superintendents, subcontractors, and self-perform crews
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and safety standards (OSHA)
- Manage change orders, claims avoidance, and contract administration
- Identify and mitigate project risks , including constructability and logistical challenges
- Lead client interactions , including public agencies, utilities, and private stakeholders
- Support business development efforts , including proposals, bid strategy, and client relationship growth
- Mentor and develop junior PMs, engineers, and field staff
Requirements
- PMP, PE, or other relevant certifications
- Experience with water resources, dams, fish passage, river restoration, or hydraulic structures
- Background in design-build or alternative delivery methods (CMAR, progressive design-build)
- Advanced degree
