Job Description
The Project Manager II at RES leads complex ecological restoration projects from planning to completion, managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with stakeholders to restore ecosystems and protect natural resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ecological restoration projects through planning, permitting, field execution, and close-out phases
- Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, stakeholders, and regulators
- Oversee subcontractors, inspect active sites, and conduct team check-ins in the field
- Review technical documents, prepare financial reports, and communicate project updates
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years of experience in engineering, construction, or environmental project work
- 3 years of direct project management experience, including ownership of scope, schedule, and budget
- Proficiency with project management tools, such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance
- Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
- Ability to lead complex projects independently, with limited supervision
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
- Comfort working in field settings, construction zones, and regulatory environments
