A Technical Program Management intern at Redwood Materials supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries, involving equipment installation, project tracking, and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid office and production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the on-time delivery of projects by engaging and aligning stakeholders
Implement and drive project requirements, workflows, and plans while managing timelines, resources, and risks
Organize and support equipment installation and commissioning teams
Document project milestones and keep project plans updated
Track and manage change requests to project scope
Requirements
Pursuing a B.S. or advanced degree in an engineering or related discipline
Prior internship or work experience with a leading technology company
Ability to support the on-time delivery of projects while ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project s goals
Ability to partner with TPMs to implement and drive project requirements, workflows and plans while managing timelines, resources, communications, quality, risks, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, identifying resource constraints, and any other issues that arise
Ability to organize and support in-field equipment installation and commissioning teams, including engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, and external contractors
Ability to identify and document all project milestones and deliverables and keep project plans up to date at all times, including resource allocations, tracking hours, monitoring schedules, milestones, deliverables, updating percentage completion, etc.
Ability to track and manage change requests to scope and obtain approval if necessary
Ability to create formal project communication plans, key project metrics, and dashboards for project status communication
Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments
Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards
Ability to wear personal protective equipment PPE, including safety gloves, helmets, and eyewear, or additional PPE when required
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone and in person, including listening and speaking
Ability to work in a split environment between office and production facility
Ability to work in challenging working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE, for extended periods of time
Full-time availability for a 12-week internship or 4-8 months co-op position, depending on the candidate
Responsibility for making own housing and transportation arrangements, with a preference for personal or rented vehicle due to limited public transit options in the Reno or Carson City, Nevada area
