A Site Reliability Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable systems, automating deployment processes, and supporting infrastructure to enable Redwood Materials' rapid growth and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Collect business and technical requirements to design highly available, scalable systems with defined SLOs
Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement complete systems that meet business needs
Identify and automate deployment and management of IT infrastructure to reduce manual efforts
Develop integrations to improve data visibility and system efficiency
Support, troubleshoot, and monitor deployed systems, participating in on-call rotations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology or any related field
At least 2 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps related role
At least 5 years of experience in an IT or Software Development related role
Experience administering IT Infrastructure such as VMware, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure AWS, Azure, Monitoring
Expertise in scripting, coding, automation, and integration with tools such as Python, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, REST, YAML, JSON
Experience working with SCADA, OT, MES, or other industrial related software systems
Ability to collect business technical requirements and work with cross-functional teams to establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and design effective systems solutions with high availability and scalability
Ability to coordinate work across IT, Software, Controls, and Business teams to implement complete systems that meet business needs
Ability to identify opportunities to automate deployment management of IT infrastructure systems to reduce manual efforts
Ability to develop integrations that streamline data visibility across components to deliver efficient and user-friendly systems
Willingness to support deployed systems, troubleshoot issues, and participate in an on-call rotation

Compensation range: $168,500 - $276,000 USD
