A Site Reliability Engineer at Redwood Materials is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable systems, automating infrastructure management, and collaborating across teams to support the company's growth in battery recycling and energy storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Collect business and technical requirements to design highly available, scalable systems with defined SLOs
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement complete systems that meet business needs
Identify and automate deployment and management of IT infrastructure to reduce manual efforts
Develop integrations to improve data visibility and system efficiency
Support, troubleshoot, and monitor deployed systems to ensure reliability and performance
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology or any related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps related role.
At least 5 years of experience in an IT or Software Development related role.
Experience administering IT Infrastructure such as VMware, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure AWS, Azure, Monitoring.
Expertise in scripting, coding, automation, and integration with tools such as Python, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, REST, YAML, JSON.
Experience working with SCADA, OT, MES, or other industrial related software systems.
Ability to collect business technical requirements and work with cross-functional teams to establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and design effective systems solutions with high availability and scalability.
Ability to coordinate work across IT, Software, Controls, and Business teams to implement complete systems that meet business needs.
Ability to identify opportunities to automate deployment management of IT infrastructure systems to reduce unnecessary repetitive manual efforts.
Ability to develop integrations that streamline data visibility across components to deliver complete, efficient systems.
Support deployed systems, troubleshoot issues, and participate in an on-call rotation.
