The Senior Construction Manager, Self Perform Electrical oversees the electrical construction teams and activities for Redwood Materials' projects, managing safety, schedule, budget, and coordination of electrical and mechanical scopes to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee electrical self-perform teams, including scheduling, procurement, and installation activities.
Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, maintenance, and operations departments throughout project phases.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures through regular safety checks and safety meetings.
Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and equipment resources to meet operational and design requirements.
Review and resolve design, specification, and scheduling conflicts with internal teams and external vendors.
Supervise construction activities, including utility, structure, and vendor tool installations, to meet schedule deadlines.
Oversee existing plant modifications and scope additions within shutdown schedules.
Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies to support project execution.
Lead project closeout, including finalizing contracts and resolving disputes.
Manage and develop teams of superintendents, tradesmen, and field crews to meet safety, schedule, and production milestones.
Requirements
Twenty (20) years of experience in construction supervision is required.
Fifteen (15) years of experience in managing field personnel is required.
Ten (10) years of electrical construction experience as both a tradesman and supervisor is required.
Experience in driving trades workers to meet safety, schedule, and production milestones is required.
Experience managing multiple field crews for both electrical and process piping scopes is imperative.
Extensive experience with industrial and commercial MEP Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems is required.
Experience in plant shutdown scheduling and coordination to meet shutdown and operational milestones is required.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents is required.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or requests for changes, claims from subcontractors, management, co-workers, or regulatory agencies is required.
Ability to effectively present information to executive management and/or public groups is required.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry is required.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is required.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is required.
Ability to interpret and write an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is required.

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
