The Production Operations Associate supports the efficient movement and processing of materials in a manufacturing environment, operating equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met to support battery material production.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day operations of the production line, including material sampling and equipment operation
Operate and train on material processing and manufacturing equipment
Pick, stage, and load materials and inventory for production
Receive inbound shipments of raw materials and maintain accurate inventory records
Support quality control practices to ensure materials meet standards
Maintain safety and compliance during material handling and equipment operation
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment is preferred.
Familiarity with hazardous material handling practices.
HAZWOPER certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification.
Experience working in required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, hard hats, disposable coveralls, and Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPRs).
Basic computer skills and comfort using systems such as HMIs, tablets, or inventory and production tracking software.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, continuously operating environment.
Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and technologies through on-the-job training.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and provide clear updates or feedback as needed.
Reliable and dependable, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to complete a respiratory fit test and respiratory medical evaluation.
Ability to work with Tyvek suits, PAPR, and other PPE for extended periods of time up to a full shift.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
Ability to operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery.
Work may be performed in a variety of environments, including office, indoor industrial, and outdoor settings, with exposure to loud noise, dust, chemicals, and extreme heat or cold.
Ability to work in challenging conditions for extended periods, including varying temperatures and industrial environments.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
