Job Description
A Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling production lines for high-voltage battery systems, including assembly line design, process validation, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, validate, and bring up new in-house assembly lines for high-volume production
- Establish takt-time targets and optimize line balance for efficiency
- Troubleshoot production line issues and implement corrective actions
- Own design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) efforts, providing feedback to engineering
- Collaborate with quality and test engineering to ensure process stability and defect containment
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities
Requirements
- A B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in production support or NPI (New Product Introduction) for high-power electronics or electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Strong technical knowledge of SMT (Surface Mount Technology), reflow soldering, box build, mechanical assembly, and HV (High Voltage) safety processes.
- Ability to write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training documents.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) on high-volume production environments.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Python, SQL for data extraction, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to work in challenging working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE, for extended periods of time.
- Essential physical requirements such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job.
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel as required.

Compensation range: $140,000 - $220,000 USD
