Job Description
An IT OT Support Technician responsible for providing technical support for end-user devices, manufacturing equipment, and enterprise systems across multiple facilities, ensuring smooth operations and supporting IT projects in a fast-growing, sustainability-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for end-user devices, software, accounts, and workflows
- Manage enterprise endpoint devices including laptops and desktops
- Support manufacturing equipment such as SCADA devices, HMIs, process cameras, printers, and barcode scanners
- Provision, maintain, and support various operating systems and devices (Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, Android)
- Troubleshoot, document, and resolve support issues and processes
- Escalate support tickets to other teams as needed
- Utilize the IT Knowledge Base to define and promote best practices
- Lead enterprise IT projects including construction, equipment moves, and technology implementations
- Configure and define IT services using technologies like Active Directory, Group Policies, and endpoint management tools
Requirements
- Support for end-user devices, software, accounts, and workflows, including enterprise endpoint support for laptops and desktops, and support of employees and devices on-site at multiple facilities, mobile, as well as remote employees who are national and international in a mix of business and industrial settings.
- Experience providing support for enterprise IT systems, including provisioning, maintaining, and supporting Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android based systems and devices.
- Experience supporting manufacturing equipment such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) devices, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), process cameras, label printers, and barcode scanners.
- Support of manufacturing systems including Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and process development support.
- Thorough troubleshooting, documentation, and resolution of support issues and processes, including escalation of trouble tickets to other support teams.
- Utilization of the IT helpdesk ticketing system for issue intake, documentation, and escalation.
- Use of the IT Knowledge Base system to define and promote best practices and procedures within the Redwood enterprise IT environment.
- Serve as knowledge lead for enterprise best practices on operational workflows and processes utilizing technology.
- Lead enterprise projects involving IT, including construction, equipment moves, and new technology implementations.
- Configure and define IT services utilizing technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, Microsoft Entra, inventory and warehouse systems, mobile device and endpoint management.
- Supporting HMIs, label printers, scanners, and other process support equipment.
- Supporting IT desktop support, including Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
- Possess at least 1 year of experience in an enterprise IT support related role.
- Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude, and self-motivation.
- Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, crawl, crouch, walk, and climb a ladder as needed, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use a computer mouse and keyboard, look at a computer monitor, and communicate verbally via speaking and hearing.
- Willingness to support occasional travel, including domestic and international travel.
