Job Description
The Buyer will manage procurement activities by processing purchase requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure efficient and accurate supply chain operations, supporting the company's battery materials production and recycling efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and validate purchase requisition requests via a centralized portal
- Select suppliers based on quote analysis and procurement guidelines
- Create and issue purchase orders in ERP systems such as Oracle
- Track shipments and escalate delivery issues as needed
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate with finance and suppliers
- Maintain accurate procurement data, including cost center alignment
- Collaborate with teams to improve procurement efficiency
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods up to 8 hours per day
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or documents up to 20 lbs
- Ability to participate in in-person meetings and supplier visits as needed
- The position is full-time and requires working in a standard office environment with regular business hours Monday through Friday
- On-site work preferred with some flexibility
- Occasional extended hours during peak procurement cycles or project deadlines
