Job Description
The Business Development Manager, Energy Storage, is responsible for leading customer engagement and developing opportunities for utility-scale battery energy storage projects, working closely with clients and internal teams to drive project sales and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) opportunities.
- Lead customer engagements from initial contact to contract execution.
- Support RFP responses, pricing development, and incentive eligibility strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and finance teams to define and deliver projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in BESS, utility-scale solar, or grid-connected energy systems in a sales capacity.
- Proven success working directly with customers to scope, price, and close complex projects.
- Familiarity with Investment Tax Credit (ITC) structuring and related incentive programs.
- Proficiency in commercial pricing models and proposal documentation.
