Job Description
The role involves analyzing customer business cases and IT stacks to develop value propositions, business cases, and proposals that demonstrate the financial and strategic benefits of Pure Storage's solutions, primarily supporting sales and client engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer business cases and IT stacks to develop client value propositions.
- Create persona-specific value assessments quantifying impact on cost efficiency, revenue, sustainability, and risk reduction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and iterate value assessments, aligning on measurable business outcomes.
- Produce and maintain client business cases in cash flow and P&L formats throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
- Position and validate business cases with client stakeholders to gain support for economic propositions.
- Support pricing discussions with clients based on financial models and business cases.
- Contribute to writing and presenting client value propositions and proposals outlining overall value and financial benefits.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of experience in management consulting, value consulting, value engineering, financial investment analysis, or other applicable roles
- Experience working at a large consulting firm or a financial services company and preferably also a technology vendor in a pre-sales financial analysis role
- Knowledge of financial analysis and research techniques using sources such as blogs, Hoovers, Ovum, Factiva, Gartner, Forrester, etc.
- Ability to write detailed content summarizing customer content, value, and insights in executive language
- Deep financial analysis and modeling skills of ROI and TCO concepts to justify business cases, including demonstrated ability to use IRR, NPV, and Payback calculations
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, especially sales engineers and account teams
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value
- Familiarity with tools to enhance, automate, and simplify the process of delivering data insights
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting qualitative and quantitative business cases
- Must be self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to customer success
- Master’s Degree with a financial background
- Ability to work in an in-office environment at the Bangalore office in compliance with company policies
