Job Description
A Technical Instructor role focused on delivering technical training and developing educational content related to storage and networking technologies, aimed at employees, partners, and customers to enhance their skills and knowledge in a fast-evolving tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical training to employees, partners, and customers on storage and networking technologies.
- Develop, update, and collaborate on technical courseware and learning materials.
- Teach in-person and virtual instructor-led classes and events.
- Stay current with product enhancements, industry developments, and go-to-market strategies.
- Partner with stakeholders to align learning solutions with development needs.
- Design and recommend cost-effective, pragmatic training solutions tailored to target audiences.
- Apply instructional design methodologies to create effective learning experiences.
- Collect, analyze, and act on feedback to improve training effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of educational programs.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and business partners regarding learning initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience of technical training and or content development experience in storage and or networking topics
- BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to successfully train non-English speaking participants with the help of a translator as needed
- Proficiency with Linux OS and Command Line Interface (CLI)
- Knowledge of hardware and hardware configuration
- Technical understanding of foundational technologies like fibre channel, iSCSI, networking etc.
- Experience or working knowledge of technologies such as operating systems Solaris, Linux, Windows, VMware, LANs, WANs, and storage area networks
- Expert presentation and facilitation skills including white-boarding and utilizing various facilitation techniques to engage learners
- Experience with delivering webinars and virtual instructor-led trainings
- Content development skills
- Experience architecting lab scenarios
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated drive to solve real customer problems and revolutionize the way people build skills and capabilities
- Highly organized with superb presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to learn new subjects and technologies with minimum supervision at a rapid pace
- Ability to collaborate with content creators and stakeholders to identify and develop effective learning content
- Ability to prepare pragmatic and cost-effective recommendations considering the target audience, delivery method, and business needs
- Ability to monitor and report the effectiveness of education and solutions
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, business partners, and key stakeholders on learning initiatives
- Willingness to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Bengaluru office in compliance with company policies
