Job Description
This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical converged infrastructure systems using Cisco UCS and VMware technologies, with a focus on automation, troubleshooting, and optimizing system performance to support the company's global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Cisco UCS infrastructure and VMware vSphere environment to ensure high availability and performance
- Develop automation tools using PowerCLI and Python to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and management tasks
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the converged infrastructure to maintain system stability and minimize downtime
- Collaborate with networking, storage, and security teams to integrate new technologies and establish security best practices
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in Automation and Scripting and from Converged Infrastructure background
- Expertise in Converged Infrastructure
- Proven, deep technical skill in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco UCS architecture and all components of a VMware vSphere environment including vCenter, ESXi, and vMotion
- Ability to write and implement practical automation scripts in languages such as PowerCLI or Python to solve operational challenges and improve infrastructure workflow efficiency
- Advanced, practical skills in diagnosing and resolving intricate, time-sensitive issues within virtualized and converged production environments, often under pressure
- Strong understanding of core networking VLANs, routing, and storage concepts, coupled with the ability to implement and enforce essential security best practices within the virtualized system
- Experience in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco UCS infrastructure blade rack servers, Fabric Interconnects, Intersight UCS Manager, and VMware vSphere environment including vCenter and ESXi
- Ability to participate in the on-call rotation to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues to maintain system integrity and minimize downtime
- Demonstrated ability to manage key infrastructure areas autonomously, delivering high-quality results, and collaborating effectively with technical partners
- Willingness to work primarily from the Bangalore office in accordance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave
