Join our team as an SSD Qualification Engineer where you will drive the end-to-end quality, reliability, and readiness of next-generation storage solutions across their entire product lifecycle. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will bridge the gap between firmware engineering, customer requirements, and scalable test automation to deliver rock-solid enterprise drives. You will own joint-qualification strategies with key partners, architect advanced validation pipelines, and directly influence product ship readiness through data-backed risk assessments.
Lead Customer Qualification & Readiness Strategy: Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex customer workloads and deployment scenarios into comprehensive qualification plans including customer Joint Qual, defining clear entry/exit criteria and driving sign-off for release.
Drive SSD Firmware & Feature Validation: Architect and execute rigorous test suites across regression, fault injection, and stress scenarios to validate firmware interactions with NAND, controllers, and PCIe/NVMe protocols.
Build Scalable Test Automation & Infrastructure: Design, maintain, and integrate Python-based test frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to turn one-off validation tasks into automated, repeatable, and observable test suites.
Solve Complex System Failures: Isolate root causes across firmware, hardware, NAND, and storage platform layers using telemetry and debug tools, collaborating directly with firmware engineers to verify fixes.
Elevate Engineering Standards & Metrics: Establish data pipelines and dashboards that track health indicators, telemetry, and test results, while mentoring team members to continuously evolve validation methodologies.
Requirements
Core Storage & Validation Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of SSD fundamentals (NAND behavior, endurance, retention, and error mechanisms), PCIe/NVMe protocols, and experience executing qualification programs in Linux environments.
Software & Automation Skills: Proficiency in Python for building automated test frameworks, tooling, and data-analysis workflows, alongside experience integrating suites into CI/CD workflows like Jenkins and Git.
Troubleshooting & Technical Leadership: Ability to analyze multi-layer system failures, formulate hypotheses using logs and traces, and lead technical validation domains or projects through cross-functional collaboration.
Clear Technical Communication: Capability to translate complex test data, telemetry, and technical findings into concise, actionable risk assessments for both engineering partners and business stakeholders.
Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
