Job Description
A Senior Solutions Engineer specializing in virtualization and hybrid cloud infrastructure, responsible for designing, implementing, and automating enterprise solutions involving on-premise data centers, public cloud services, and containerization technologies to support innovative data storage products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure including on-premise systems and public cloud integrations
- Lead the deployment, management, and scaling of Kubernetes clusters across on-premise and cloud environments
- Automate infrastructure workflows using scripting languages and APIs to improve operational efficiency
- Integrate and optimize public cloud services with on-premise infrastructure for seamless hybrid cloud operations
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure the reliability and performance of infrastructure components
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on expertise with mainstream server technologies, network interconnects, and expert-level proficiency in VMware vSphere vCenter, Nutanix AHV Prism, or Hyper-V.
- Proven, practical experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting production Kubernetes clusters, with solid command of container runtimes Docker and containerd, and application deployment methods Helm charts.
- Strong knowledge of core services and architecture in at least one major public cloud (AWS EC2, S3, VPC or Azure VMs, Storage Accounts, VNets), and demonstrated ability to design and support hybrid cloud solutions.
- Relevant experience using REST APIs for system integration and strong proficiency in at least one modern scripting language (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to automate complex workflows.
- Solid understanding of advanced virtual networking concepts including VLANs, DVS, core networking protocols TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, along with familiarity with Identity and Access Management concepts such as Active Directory, SSO, MFA.
- Experience in architecting and implementing hybrid cloud infrastructure, including designing, configuring, and maintaining on-premise infrastructure with Cisco UCS servers, Fabric Interconnects, and virtualization platforms.
- Ability to increase operational efficiency by leveraging scripting to automate infrastructure tasks such as server deployment, patching, configuration management, and system integrations.
- Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex performance, availability, and capacity issues across infrastructure components, collaborating with Security, DevOps, and Application teams to ensure operational excellence.
