Job Description
This role involves developing and integrating high-performance, reliable storage system software and edge services, combining software engineering and Linux system administration skills to enhance innovative data storage products for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and solve complex problems related to high-performance, reliable systems
- Design and implement algorithms and technologies for storage products
- Own and deliver end-to-end software innovations from concept to deployment
- Develop software applications using Python and Golang on Linux/UNIX platforms
- Work with container technologies such as Docker and Podman following OCI standards
- Perform system analysis, risk assessment, performance optimization, and ensure production reliability
- Contribute to automated testing and continuous improvement of code quality
Requirements
- Experience in full lifecycle software application development, from design to deployment and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Python and Golang, developing on Linux UNIX platforms.
- Strong understanding of container technologies following Open Container Initiative (OCI) standards, e.g., Docker, Podman, and backend systems designed for high load and high availability.
- Ability to perform software analysis across requirements, system reviews, risk assessment, performance optimization, and production reliability.
- Familiarity with automated testing and continuous improvement of code quality.
- Experience in analyzing and solving challenging problems through persistence and insight.
- Ability to design and implement creative new algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems (think six 9s).
- Ability to own and deliver innovation end-to-end, from concept to shipped product.
- Excellent collaboration skills with a team-oriented problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to work from the Prague office in an in-office environment, in compliance with company policies.
