Job Description
This role involves leading business analysis and process design for strategic programs within a data storage company's global systems engineering team, focusing on requirements management, stakeholder engagement, process mapping, and delivering measurable business value through technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis for strategic programs, translating discovery into testable requirements
- Manage requirements, stakeholder engagement, and traceability from requirements to testing and release
- Create and maintain backlog items such as epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Design process operating models, facilitate workshops, and map current and future process flows
- Lead cross-team workshops to facilitate decision-making and document actions
- Write and update Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) for system changes
- Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scope, align tests with acceptance criteria, and support testing activities
- Partner with stakeholders across departments to unblock progress and implement changes
- Utilize tools like Asana, Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucid Visio, and Salesforce for requirements management and process mapping
- Track value impact by establishing KPIs, proposing pilots, and reporting results
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business analysis within tech sales CRM environments with proven delivery across multiple teams.
- Experience in requirements management, including identifying and engaging stakeholders, capturing and organizing requirements, maintaining traceability from requirement to test and release, managing change control and impact assessments.
- Ability to create and manage backlogs by turning discovery into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, keeping stories small, valuable, and testable, and maintaining definition of ready and definition of done, as well as tracing epics, stories, tests, and benefits.
- Experience in process operating model design, including running workshops, mapping current and future process flows with swimlanes, creating BPMN-style process maps, defining roles, RACI, controls, and handoffs.
- Proven ability to lead cross-time-zone, multi-team workshops that result in decisions and documented actions.
- Experience in writing and owning Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) for system changes such as Salesforce, and keeping them current through delivery.
- Ability to define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and pilot scope, align tests to acceptance criteria, run defect triage, support cutover planning, communications, training, and hypercare exit criteria.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including partnering with SE leaders, Sales Operations, IT, Finance, Enablement, and Marketing to unblock progress and land changes.
- Hands-on experience with tooling such as Asana or Jira for backlog and workflows, Confluence for documentation, Salesforce for requirement validation, and Miro, Mural, or Lucid Visio for process maps.
- Ability to baseline current metrics, define benefit KPIs, propose pilots and A-B tests where useful, and report results clearly.
- Experience in delivering in Salesforce-centric or broader CRM environments with Sales and SE stakeholders, and familiarity with US privacy basics and compensation-sensitive workflows.
- Strong skills in value-stream and capability mapping, producing clear L2 and L3 process maps with roles and controls.
- Ability to capture non-functional requirements including security, privacy, performance, scalability, observability, and supportability needs, and make them testable.
- Experience in building UAT plans, training outlines, and cutover checklists, applying light change-management techniques to help teams adopt new ways of working.
- Disciplined documentation skills, including creating BRDs, RTMs, and executive-ready updates.
