Job Description
The role involves designing, automating, and executing system tests to ensure the quality and reliability of high-performance data storage products, working closely with development and support teams to identify and resolve issues in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure FlashArray products and features are shipped with high quality.
- Create system test designs focusing on feature interoperability at scale.
- Automate workflows and identify high-value defects to assure product quality.
- Collaborate with development, support, and escalation teams to reproduce and diagnose customer issues.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects discovered during testing.
- Design and build tools to efficiently execute and triage large volumes of test scripts.
- Understand feature inner workings to target specific failure domains and improve fault tolerance.
- Continuously identify test gaps, perform root cause analysis, and close the loop on customer-found defects.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 7 years of software system testing experience, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of System testing using end-to-end Automation
- Experience in qualifying enterprise products in cloud and container platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack
- Experience with multiple operating systems including Linux, Solaris, and Windows
- Hands-on automation experience in Python or similar scripting languages
- Ability to independently deploy and maintain test environments
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Capable of prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Natural curiosity with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Willing and able to work in an open office, team environment
