Job Description
The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing custom SAP ABAP applications and interfaces to support a global SAP S/4HANA implementation, with a focus on enhancing core business processes, user experience, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom ABAP programs to support SAP S/4HANA modules like FI, SD, and MM.
- Create and implement SAP interfaces such as IDOCs, RFCs, and OData Web Services for system integration.
- Develop modern Fiori applications using UI5, Fiori Elements, CDS Views, and BTP RAP to enhance user experience.
- Conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and optimize performance to ensure solution stability and efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation for developed solutions and provide Level 3 support to resolve complex technical issues.
Requirements
- Deep proficiency in SAP ABAP with at least 4 years of experience in developing robust solutions using modern ABAP techniques, including Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP), Interfaces, and Enhancement Frameworks.
- Strong, hands-on experience with core SAP technologies such as CDS Views, OData services, and an understanding of ABAP on HANA, with experience in BTP RAP being highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skill in building and troubleshooting SAP interfaces, including IDOCs, RFCs, and Web Services, to facilitate complex data synchronization.
- Proven ability to develop user-centric Fiori applications using UI5 (Freestyle UI5, Fiori Elements) to enhance business workflow efficiency.
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills with experience in performance tuning and transport management to ensure production stability.
- Experience in designing and optimizing custom applications critical to SAP S/4HANA implementation, including developing, testing, and deploying complex ABAP programs.
- Ability to design and implement sophisticated SAP interfaces, including IDOCs, RFCs, and OData Web Services, for seamless integration with internal and external systems.
- Experience in leading code reviews, performing advanced debugging, and executing performance tuning to ensure solutions are efficient, adhere to best practices, and deliver maximum business value.
- Ability to own the technical documentation lifecycle for developed solutions and act as a Level 3 support expert, collaborating with the AMS team to resolve critical, complex technical issues and minimize operational downtime.
- Work from the Bangalore office in an in-office environment, in compliance with company policies.
