This role involves prospecting, qualifying, and developing new sales opportunities within targeted accounts for a leading technology company, with a focus on driving business growth in the data storage industry through inside sales activities and collaboration with field sales and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and identify net new sales opportunities within targeted accounts
Qualify leads and set appointments for field sales representatives
Research and understand key target accounts to develop tailored outreach strategies
Collaborate with Field Marketing to create outbound call campaigns and drive attendance at partner events
Work closely with Account Executives to identify sales targets and penetrate new accounts
Engage with channel partners to support outbound prospecting efforts
Respond to marketing-generated leads and advance sales opportunities
Maintain and utilize sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn, and Discover.org
Communicate the business value of Pure Storage solutions to various roles within IT organizations
Manage and prioritize multiple sales activities effectively to meet or exceed quotas
Requirements
Proven ability to penetrate a targeted account base, create net-new opportunities, and exceed quota.
Ability to effectively manage and prioritize various sales-related activities and fluently adapt to shifting priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to clearly communicate Pure Storage business value to varying roles in an IT organization.
Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
Demonstrated ability to optimize performance and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interest in Sales.
BA or BS Degree.
Must be open to relocating to Chicago.
Consistent track record of exceeding quota and penetrating net-new accounts.
Ability to source leads, qualify opportunities, and set appointments for field counterparts.
Deep understanding and research on key target accounts.
Experience working closely with Field Marketing to develop outbound call campaigns.
Ability to handle project upsells and renewals as needed.
Ability to qualify and respond to daily marketing generated leads.
Ability to drive attendance to scheduled partner events via email and/or calls.
Experience working with Account Executives and channel partners to identify sales targets and initiatives.
Experience with outbound prospecting campaigns with partners.
Effective communication with Marketing on strategy, lead generation, and lead programs.
Daily use of sales enablement tools including Salesforce.com, Discover.org, Gmail, LinkedIn, and InsideSales.com.
Strong interest in developing sales expertise and career advancement in a high-performance culture.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a constructive, encouraging culture.
