Job Description
The Platform Engineer - Network Integration is responsible for designing, operating, and scaling core network services such as IP Address Management (IPAM), DNS, DHCP, and CMDB, ensuring infrastructure automation, reliability, and seamless integration across data centers and environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and scale core network services including IPAM, DDI, and CMDB systems.
- Integrate IPAM DDI systems with provisioning, bootstrapping, and CMDB workflows.
- Ensure infrastructure is discoverable, automated, reliable, and supports self-service consumption.
- Develop APIs and integrations to automate infrastructure workflows around IPAM solutions.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to track infrastructure health and drive improvements.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes and runbooks.
- Manage and maintain enterprise-scale IPAM, DNS, DHCP, and CMDB platforms.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of IP Address Management (IPAM), DNS, and DHCP at enterprise scale.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining the corporate DDI solution as code.
- Experience with bare-metal provisioning and hypervisor deployment.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Puppet and Ansible or similar.
- Experience operating or integrating Configuration Management Database (CMDB) systems as a source of truth.
- Solid knowledge of datacenter networking concepts, including Fibre Channel.
- Proficiency with Linux systems and troubleshooting at hardware and operating system layers.
- Experience building infrastructure automation and onboarding pipelines.
- Familiarity with API-driven integrations and workflow orchestration.
- Ability to reason about infrastructure as a platform, not just individual systems.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with hardware, software, storage, and SRE teams.
- Strong operational mindset with a focus on reliability, correctness, and supportability.
- Ability to drive ambiguous problems to clear, automated solutions.
