To be a expert performance engineer to define and validate the industry-leading performance of our mission-critical FlashArray portfolio. You will be instrumental in extending our capabilities into the cloud, directly impacting customer adoption and satisfaction by ensuring our products meet the highest benchmarks. This high-visibility role involves close collaboration with Product Management and Solutions Engineering to translate real-world customer needs into engineering goals.
Define and Drive Benchmarking Strategy: Establish comprehensive, next-generation performance benchmarking requirements and metrics for all FlashArray products across diverse platforms, ensuring we maintain a significant competitive edge in the market.
Team Execution and Mentorship: Provide technical direction and leadership to a team of highly motivated engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, high-impact performance results.
Validate Critical Customer Scenarios: Collaborate with Product Management, Solutions, and Sales Engineering to research and develop performance validation strategies that accurately model and confirm critical customer use cases and requirements, directly enhancing product readiness.
Optimize System Performance: Oversee the deep-dive analysis of performance bottlenecks within the Linux storage and networking stack, identifying optimization opportunities that result in tangible gains in throughput and latency for our users.
Requirements
Deep System-Level Performance Expertise: Proven experience in designing and executing system-level performance testing for enterprise-grade solutions, including servers, storage (SAN protocols like iSCSI, NFS, SMB), and databases.
Strong Linux Systems Mastery: Expert-level proficiency with Linux systems, including in-depth knowledge of the network configuration, storage stack, system settings, and common command-line utilities crucial for performance tuning.
Technical Ownership and Mentoring: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and provide architectural direction to software and performance engineers, elevating the technical quality and impact of the entire team.
Problem-Solving and Analysis: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of translating complex performance data into actionable engineering improvements that lead to high-quality product releases.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
