The role involves designing and building large-scale, resilient backend systems for processing and analyzing telemetry and log data to improve fleet reliability, utilizing cloud technologies and data engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build large-scale, resilient backend systems for high-volume telemetry data ingestion, extraction, and real-time classification.
Develop and optimize intelligent data pipelines and distributed systems using cloud technologies such as AWS, SQS, Redis, and S3.
Establish and monitor operational metrics (SLOs), implement observability tools, and improve system reliability and cost-efficiency.
Lead the technical direction for complex features, mentor engineers, and create design documentation for long-term architecture.
Requirements
Expert-level proficiency in building and operating large-scale backend services using Python, Go, or Java in a production environment.
Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including service-oriented architecture, asynchronous workflows, and failure domain management.
Proven experience in data engineering, specifically building and optimizing log analytics systems or high-volume data pipelines using cloud-native tools such as AWS services, Kafka, or equivalent.
Advanced data modeling and optimization skills for both SQL and NoSQL database systems, e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake, focused on performance and scalable storage.
Demonstrated ability to lead and drive complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from concept through deployment with high autonomy.
Ability and willingness to work from the Bangalore office in an in-office environment, in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
