A Systems Engineering Manager responsible for leading a team of pre-sales engineers in promoting and implementing advanced storage, cloud, and AI-driven data solutions for enterprise clients, while driving technical strategy, customer engagement, and market innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing team of pre-sales Systems Engineers in the Commercial organization.
Guide technical teams in understanding customer business needs and translating them into storage solutions.
Support and refine sales strategies by providing technical leadership and expertise in storage products and architectures.
Demonstrate technical thought leadership through market trend analysis and competitive landscape awareness.
Enable the team to capture requirements, develop solutions, and respond to RFIs and RFPs.
Promote operational excellence and team support creation and validation of technical demand.
Advocate for team members' development and foster a collaborative, customer-first environment.
Requirements
Candidates must have 5 years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers selling in Commercial Enterprise Accounts.
Candidates must have 10 years of experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers.
Candidates must have a deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions.
Candidates must have prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients.
Candidates must have knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN.
Candidates must have strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, including On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
Candidates must have knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP IP and general networking.
Candidates must have excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
