This role is for an individual contributor joining one of our five Pure Protect engineering teams within the Digital Experience (DX) organization. The product has been running for ~3 years and operates like a startup within DX.
The teams are primarily composed of senior-level engineers who take full ownership of their workstreams — from early requirements definition (in close collaboration with Product Managers) to final delivery. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as engineers work autonomously in a highly cross-functional environment.
• Own the end-to-end design, development, and operation of mission-critical processing services , ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant data flow between edge devices and the Pure1 cloud platform.
• Partner with Product and Architecture teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, resilient architectural designs that drive significant organizational impact from initial concept through to production deployment.
• Drive continuous innovation by experimenting with new technologies, platform ecosystems, and architectural patterns to improve system performance, security, and cost-effectiveness for petabytes of real-time data.
• Maintain a quality-first mindset throughout the entire software development lifecycle, emphasizing comprehensive unit testing, thorough code reviews, and robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Lead the resolution of complex inter-operability issues between new and existing system components, ensuring the platform remains highly available and universally accessible for customers across the globe.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting, implementing, and testing various product components within large-scale, complex distributed systems.
• Proficiency in a modern backend programming language (Java, Kotlin) , with a proven ability to write secure, high-performance, and maintainable code.
• Understanding of distributed systems principles, networking infrastructure, and Linux operating environments.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and proficiency with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes .
• A proven track record of thriving in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment , with a passion for continuous learning and quickly mastering new technologies.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave. #LI-ONSITE
