An experienced Hardware Test Engineer responsible for developing and improving end-to-end test solutions for SSD products in a high-volume manufacturing environment, involving test software development, hardware debugging, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy test software solutions for SSD hardware in manufacturing.
Improve existing test software for efficiency, scalability, and hardware alignment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues within the manufacturing test environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align test requirements with product and manufacturing goals.
Communicate test requirements and process updates with contract manufacturers and oversee prototype builds.
Lead initiatives to enhance test procedures, debugging, failure handling, and testing efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in software development for hardware manufacturing test tools.
Strong experience in developing and enhancing test software, with proficiency in Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
Ability to plan and execute hardware test programs, manage risks, coordinate cross-functional teams, optimize resources, track issues, ensure compliance, and communicate results effectively.
Ability to create detailed, robust test plans from hardware schematics and design documentation, ensuring comprehensive hardware validation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, dedicated to improving test processes and software tools.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Deep technical expertise in test software development with Python.
Hands-on work experience with hardware, specifically SSD storage hardware.
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems within the manufacturing test environment, including failure analysis and troubleshooting across different platforms.
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
Experience working with a hyperscaler company is an advantage.
Willingness to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Bangalore location, in compliance with company policies.
