Job Description
The Hardware Test Engineer will develop and improve testing solutions for SSD storage hardware in a high-volume manufacturing environment, involving software development, hardware troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy test software solutions for SSD hardware in a manufacturing environment
- Improve existing test software for efficiency, scalability, and hardware alignment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues within the manufacturing test environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and meet test requirements
- Communicate test requirements and manage prototype builds with contract manufacturers
- Lead initiatives to enhance test procedures, debugging, and failure handling processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in software development for hardware manufacturing test tools.
- Strong experience in developing and enhancing test software, with proficiency in Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
- Ability to plan and execute hardware test programs, manage risks, coordinate cross-functional teams, optimize resources, track issues, ensure compliance, and communicate results effectively.
- Ability to create detailed, robust test plans from hardware schematics and design documentation, ensuring comprehensive hardware validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, dedicated to improving test processes and software tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
