Job Description
An Engineering Manager responsible for leading the development and management of the company's data infrastructure, including Master Data Management systems, to enable scalable, accurate, and actionable global business insights through innovative engineering and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and oversee the Master Data Management application and pipeline architecture to ensure data integrity and serve as the single source of truth.
- Lead automation of manual workflows and redesign legacy infrastructure to improve data delivery speed, scalability, and security.
- Manage and mentor a global engineering team, ensuring technical excellence, quality, and timely delivery of data assets.
- Establish and oversee root-cause analysis processes to troubleshoot pipeline issues and optimize data performance.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure data infrastructure scales to meet global demand and supports business intelligence.
Requirements
- Proven track record of building business-critical applications on AWS or other big cloud providers, demonstrating expert-level command of software development practices.
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and the ability to influence business decisions through clear communication and robust program management capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with stream-processing systems and modern workflow management tools such as Prefect, Airflow, or Luigi to handle large-scale, real-time data integration.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis on complex data sets, identifying opportunities for infrastructure optimization and business process improvement.
- Ownership of data infrastructure, including the Master Data Management application and pipeline architecture, overseeing the transition of fragmented data into golden records that serve as the single source of truth for the enterprise.
- Experience leading the automation of manual workflows and redesigning legacy infrastructure to improve data delivery speed, scalability, and security across the entire data management lifecycle.
- Experience directing the development milestones for a global team, providing hands-on coaching to junior engineers to ensure technical excellence, quality assurance, and on-time delivery of mission-critical data assets.
- Establishing and overseeing rigorous root-cause analysis processes to troubleshoot pipeline issues, ensuring the absolute accuracy of data utilized for global reporting.
- Work from the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
