Job Description
The role involves leading the development and strategic planning of a high-performance storage platform for AI and HPC workloads, managing technical architecture, mentoring engineering teams, and collaborating across departments to deliver innovative enterprise software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategic roadmap and execution for a core component of the AI Platform, defining engineering priorities and success metrics.
- Drive architectural and technical design decisions for system features such as Purity DN, SSD support, NIC support, and performance.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing software engineering team, fostering technical excellence and accountability.
- Champion and implement agile development practices to ensure high-quality, predictable product releases.
- Serve as a cross-functional liaison between Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Success to translate feedback into engineering outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience in designing and shipping complex enterprise software, specifically within storage, highly available distributed systems, or large-scale cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in managing and mentoring high-performing software teams, driving technical roadmaps, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and psychological safety.
- Exceptional execution and delivery management skills, with a proven ability to implement effective agile practices and engineering best practices to consistently deliver high-quality products on schedule.
- Strong analytical and clear communication skills, capable of articulating complex architectural trade-offs and project status effectively to both engineers and executive leadership.
- A commitment to customer obsession and product quality, demonstrated by incorporating user feedback loops into the development cycle and championing end-to-end quality standards.
- Work from the Bangalore, India office in compliance with Pure Storage policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
