Job Description
An Engineering Manager responsible for leading a team developing and integrating edge platform technology that connects on-device systems with cloud services, ensuring product reliability, security, and scalability in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and integration of on-device Edge components into Purity OS and the Edge Platform technology.
- Manage and inspire a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver end-to-end integration of platform components, including development, validation, and release.
- Make strategic decisions to balance priorities, scope, and capacity aligned with customer value and operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline delivery processes and ensure high standards for quality, reliability, security, and observability.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and inspiring software engineering teams delivering cloud-connected, customer-facing products.
- Ability to manage projects through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), balancing priorities, scope, and capacity while meeting commitments.
- Sound judgment under pressure and dedication to improving reliability, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Collaborative and practical leadership style that is credible, fair, adaptable, focused on clarity, consistency, and results over process.
- Understanding of distributed systems and systems software across cloud and embedded environments, with readiness to deepen expertise in Pure's technologies and domain.
- Ability to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
