Job Description
The IT Endpoint Specialist is responsible for managing and securing a global fleet of Mac, Windows, and Linux endpoints, automating deployment processes, overseeing VDI environments, and collaborating with security teams to ensure compliance and high performance across the organization's end-user ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle, patching, and OS rollouts for 7,000 endpoints across Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms to ensure compliance and stability.
- Design and maintain automation workflows and build scripts using PowerShell, Shell, and Python for zero-touch deployments and application distribution.
- Administer Amazon Workspace VDIs and manage global BYOD initiatives to ensure seamless access and security.
- Collaborate with SecOps to implement endpoint security controls, manage digital certificates, and integrate tools like Splunk for auditing and risk reporting.
- Create architectural documentation and SOPs, and conduct training for global support teams to enhance troubleshooting capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of advanced administration experience in VMware Workspace ONE WS1 and JAMF Pro, with a specialized focus on Mac OS and Windows 10/11 features, AWS Workspace updates, and Linux Ubuntu workstation management.
- Expert proficiency in utilizing PowerShell, Shell scripting, or Python to automate manual processes and execute complex, zero-touch deployment workflows.
- Proven experience managing Amazon Workspace VDI environments and integrating endpoint tools with Splunk for custom reporting and compliance auditing.
- Ability to document complex architectures, lead cross-functional initiatives, and collaborate with US and EMEA-based global teams outside of local business hours.
- Experience overseeing the lifecycle, monthly patching cadence, and major OS rollouts for 7,000 endpoints across Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms to ensure 100% compliance and stability.
- Ability to design and maintain advanced build scripts and automation workflows to streamline zero-touch deployments and mass application distributions.
- Experience managing the administration of Amazon Workspace VDIs and global BYOD initiatives, leveraging VMware Workspace ONE, JAMF Pro, Google Workspace to ensure seamless access and security.
