Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute the technical strategy for global accounts within the automotive industry.
- Lead and manage a team of systems engineers to support strategic accounts.
- Provide primary pre-sales engineering coverage and technical direction for strategic accounts.
- Develop and maintain executive-level business relationships and lead sales presentations.
- Drive operational excellence through data analysis, pipeline management, and sales forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical strategies with product development and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
- Achieve sales and solution delivery goals while anticipating future market trends.
- Communicate effectively with leadership at all levels to align business objectives.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for global accounts.
- Act as a technical advocate for clients, ensuring their needs are met with high-quality service.
Requirements
- Proven leader of direct and globally matrixed teams demonstrating 5 successful years of global field technical leadership.
- Advanced skill set and experience delivering world class technical solutions for the financial services industry.
- Supporting large Financial Services accounts with a proven track record of delivering enterprise solutions that deliver against business outcomes for closing Global Enterprise customers.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Pure Storage's portfolio with the ability to create holistic business solutions for customers.
- Credibility, savvy, and influence to understand and scale up and down a customer’s organization.
- Ability to adeptly navigate around a global account and quickly understand the internal dynamics.
- Proven success at effectively alternating between player and coach to drive results.
- Strong background in leading strategy and execution for technical sales, including setting technical strategy and direction for global accounts.
- Experience guiding and managing the work of systems engineers aligned to strategic accounts, providing technical direction and primary pre-sales engineering coverage.
- Ability to lead and inspire a high-performance technical pre-sales culture that delivers results in bookings, sales development, and solution applicability.
- Experience driving operational excellence through data-driven analysis, pipeline management, and contributing technical details to sales forecasting.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Principal Engineers, Field Solutions Architects, and Customer Success to align technical strategy with product development and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Providing technical leadership and oversight to extended teams aligned with strategic accounts to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
- Holding both the team and oneself accountable to achieve challenging goals while anticipating future market trends.
- Communicating effectively with leaders at all levels, including C-suite, to establish open and trusting relationships that facilitate alignment of business objectives and strategies.
- Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the long-term success of global accounts.
- Acting as the technical advocate for clients within Pure Storage, ensuring their needs are met and they receive the highest level of service.
