Job Description
This role involves leading the development and execution of quality strategies for enterprise storage products, driving automation and testing initiatives, and managing engineering teams to ensure reliable and high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Enterprise Readiness Quality Strategy and roadmap for FlashArray and FlashBlade products.
- Lead, coach, and manage multiple engineering teams to implement quality engineering practices and transition to Test-Driven Development at scale.
- Drive the Automation First Strategy by building automated test platforms and developer tools to enhance test coverage and accelerate innovation.
- Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and Customer Support to identify quality gaps, develop use cases, and establish data-driven quality metrics.
- Mentor technical teams, solve scaling challenges, and improve processes and tooling to support organizational growth.
Requirements
- Experience in scaling and leading multi-level engineering organizations, including managers and senior engineers, with a proven track record of successfully executing large-scale, end-to-end Quality Engineering initiatives for enterprise products.
- Deep technical mastery and hands-on leadership experience in enterprise product ecosystems, specifically within File Systems, Storage Linux kernel storage drivers, or related system software domains.
- Proven ability to define and implement advanced test strategies, automation frameworks, and developer tooling to facilitate a shift-left approach to quality and successfully integrate Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automation within CI/CD pipelines.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for guiding complex system software, network, and security quality efforts, and effectively aligning expectations with external stakeholders.
- Strong passion for continuous improvement and a demonstrated ability to challenge existing processes to improve testing efficiency and the overall quality of products delivered to market.
- Work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure Storage policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
