Job Description

The role involves leading and managing a high-performing team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic sales outcomes, develop technical vision, and support growth in the data storage industry through customer engagement, team development, and regional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic outcomes and technical success.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to grow revenue and ensure sustainable long-term growth.
  • Manage pipeline analysis, forecasting, and technical engagement with sales and pre-sales leadership.
  • Hire, retain, and develop a high-performing team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers.
  • Align technical messaging and approach across internal teams and external partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional partners, customers, and industry networks.
  • Promote company culture, recognize outstanding team performance, and foster team building.
  • Engage with customers and prospects to understand their challenges and support pre-sales activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums as a thought leader.
  • Act as the regional executive sponsor for large opportunities and support product and solution promotion.

Requirements

  • 15 years experience in a field Pre-sales position.
  • Experience leading a team with direct management responsibilities in a large geography.
  • Must have previous experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managed initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel as needed on a regular basis.
  • Ability to support and lead a high-performing team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers and SE Managers.
  • Experience in developing, improving, and maintaining resources to meet and exceed sales goals while supporting customer and partner needs.
  • Ability to retain, hire, and lead a world-class team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers.
  • Experience in setting technical vision and aligning Pre-Sales strategy with go-to-market priorities.
  • Experience in analyzing pipeline and forecast from a technical perspective.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with regional sales, pre-sales leadership, technical equivalents within alliance and channel partners, and internal cross-functional teams including Partner Technical Managers, Data Architects, CTO, CX, and PS organizations.
  • Strong communication skills to cascade goals and communicate technical issues effectively.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to changing circumstances and quickly make operational adjustments.
  • High degree of accountability and ownership.
  • Strong ethics and personal integrity.
  • Ability to interact with customers, partners, and prospects to understand their business challenges and engagement in pre-sales processes.
  • Self-starter with high motivation and active contributor mindset.
  • Experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managing initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth.

Salary range: 177,100 - 283,500 USD annually
