Job Description
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing code repositories, automating system operations, and supporting deployment activities, primarily within a DevOps environment with some familiarity with Salesforce applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Manage code repositories and branching strategies
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation of system operations and deployments
- Collaborate with development, QA, and platform teams to ensure smooth delivery pipelines
- Own deployment and release management activities for Salesforce applications, including SOX audit controls
- Provide support and troubleshooting for users to resolve issues promptly
- Develop and maintain documentation for CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Git and GitHub Actions or similar CI tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI.
- Proficiency in shell scripting Bash, Zsh, or similar and experience in Python scripting for automation and tooling.
- Experience with Docker and container-based workflows.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices and DevOps principles.
- Experience with creating deployment packages, resolving merge conflicts, and fixing deployment errors.
- Understanding of Salesforce Metadata API and Salesforce REST SOAP APIs.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
