Job Description
The role involves designing and developing microservices and SaaS platforms within the Portworx team, focusing on creating scalable, high-quality storage solutions, collaborating across teams, and innovating with new technologies in a cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop SaaS microservices and integrate new features into Portworx products
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and documentation for developed features
- Collaborate with stakeholders to take solutions from initial design to production
- Own the design and development process, including handling issues from testing and deployment
- Experiment with new technologies to innovate and improve solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- At least 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and testing various product components using one or more of the following languages: C, Java, Go.
- Good understanding of Microservices Architecture and SaaS-based scalable platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing high quality, testable, maintainable, optimal, production-grade microservices and promoting them to production environments hosted in cloud by applying knowledge and experience around cloud infrastructure, deployments, and continuous integration.
- Experience designing and owning microservices to operate and scale in a distributed system architecture.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including product management and customer beta partners, in designing highly scalable and production-quality software.
- Proven design sensibility and willingness to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Must be willing and able to work in an open office environment.
- Solid computer science background in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
