Job Description
This role involves designing and developing sales training courses and materials to enhance the skills and knowledge of a global sales organization, utilizing innovative instructional methods and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design sales training courses across various modalities, including eLearning, virtual, and in-person formats.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define course requirements, create deliverables, and manage course delivery.
- Create and update training materials, including facilitator, instructor, and student guides.
- Maintain and enhance training content, labs, and course catalogs to align with company initiatives and sales strategies.
- Integrate sales processes, tools, and methodologies into training content.
- Incorporate feedback from surveys and field experiences to improve training programs.
- Work with content creators across the organization to select and develop effective learning content.
- Review and implement stakeholder and SME feedback to ensure high-quality training deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Instructional Design, Education Technology, or a similar field, or completion of a relevant certificate program.
- Minimum of 5 years working in a Curriculum Development or Instructional Design role with experience in Sales training.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to write, design, develop, and manage projects.
- Experience working in a sales enablement organization and/or field role.
- Experience in instructional design methodologies such as Bloom's taxonomy, Gagne's 9 principles, ADDIE, ARCS model, criterion-referenced instruction, and performance-based delivery, including developing, leading, and implementing design projects.
- Experience using content generation tools such as Articulate Storyline360, Articulate Rise360, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
- Skilled in the creation, implementation, and validation of assessments to measure the effectiveness of training in achieving business priorities.
- Experience using video editing tools such as Final Cut, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Camtasia, or similar.
- Ability to use G suite applications including Google Slides, Docs, and Sheets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical solution areas such as databases, analytics, containers, etc., is a strong plus.
- Experience with graphic design principles is a strong plus.
- Experience with current instructional innovation and technology such as AI tools, gamification, AR/VR is a strong plus.
- Ability to develop and update sales-focused training courses, curriculum, and materials covering sales processes, sales tools and technology, and sales skills.
- Ability to develop course facilitation, instructor, and student guides, and manage, maintain, and update training materials and course catalogs.
- Ability to develop and maintain hands-on activities and labs aligned with sales curriculum and company initiatives.
- Ability to incorporate sales strategy and process into product training, applying knowledge of sales processes, tools, methodology, and skills into training.
- Ability to conduct reviews and implement feedback from stakeholders, SMEs, and design managers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Willingness to submit to an assessment as part of the hiring process.
