Job Description

The Data Management Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and governance of master data within Pure Storage's data analytics team, implementing data policies, monitoring data flows, and supporting data-related tools and processes to enable effective data management and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, document, and harmonize data quality rules, policies, and approval processes for master data.
  • Implement control plans to ensure data remains clean and consistent.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on master data sources, processes, and data preparation for organizational use.
  • Utilize tools and technologies to support data cleansing, organization, and aggregation, automating processes where possible.
  • Monitor data flows, platforms, and processes to ensure proper operation from collection to processing.
  • Perform proactive validation, evaluation, and corrective maintenance of master data operations, including periodic audits.
  • Recommend and support the development of data definitions, business rules, and naming standards.
  • Map data sources, maintain records, and update data catalogs and dictionaries.
  • Document master data operations and monitoring processes in clear guides and manuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics, or Engineering; an advanced degree such as MBA, MA, MS, or PhD is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of solid experience working with data management, data quality, or related roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of solid experience managing enterprise-wide cross-functional, complex projects and teams, demonstrating success in such roles.
  • Working knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) tool suites, including configuration of tools such as Reltio (a plus).
  • Experience with tools and technologies such as Salesforce, Clari, Anaplan, SAP, Java, and understanding of data models and data warehouse concepts.
  • Ability to work independently with mature decision-making skills, demonstrated by previous successes in leading or managing technology projects with enterprise-wide scope that may have significant cost and time-to-market impacts.
  • Strong process orientation, organizational, and planning skills, including planning and prioritizing work to manage time and resources effectively.
  • Solid critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand problems and generate solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions across multiple organizational levels.
  • Willingness and ability to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Bengaluru office, in compliance with company policies.
