Job Description
The Data Management Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality, consistency, and governance of master data within Pure Storage's Data Analytics department, utilizing various tools and processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, document, and harmonize data quality rules, policies, and approval processes for master data.
- Implement control plans to ensure data cleanliness and consistency.
- Serve as subject matter expert on master data sources, extraction, organization, and processing.
- Utilize tools and technologies to support data management capabilities and automate data cleansing and organization.
- Monitor data flows, platforms, and processes to ensure proper operation from collection to processing.
- Perform proactive validation, evaluation, and maintenance of master data operations, including periodic audits.
- Recommend and support the development of data standards, definitions, calculations, and business rules.
- Map data sources, maintain records, and update data catalogs and dictionaries.
- Document data operations monitoring processes through guides and manuals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics, or Engineering. An advanced degree such as MBA, MA, MS, or PhD is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of solid experience working with data management, data quality, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of solid experience managing enterprise-wide cross-functional, complex projects and teams, with demonstrated success.
- Working knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) tool suites, including configuration, with Reltio experience considered a plus.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Clari, Anaplan, SAP, Java, and data models or data warehouse concepts.
- Ability to work independently with mature decision-making skills, demonstrated by previous successes in leading or managing technology projects with enterprise-wide scope that may have significant cost and time-to-market impacts.
- Strong process orientation, organizational, and planning skills, including planning and prioritizing work to manage time and resources effectively.
- Solid critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand problems and generate solutions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions across multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to work from the Bengaluru office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
