This role involves leading technical sales and solutions engineering for AI and HPC systems, focusing on developing customer relationships, demonstrating technical expertise, and aligning storage and computing solutions with client business objectives in a fast-growing tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to create customer strategies that drive revenue growth and new business opportunities.
Develop a deep understanding of customer business objectives and articulate how Pure's solutions align with their goals.
Create customer-facing content such as technical walkthroughs, deep dives, and qualification guides for AI and HPC opportunities.
Participate in customer calls, demos, proof of concepts, and internal strategy sessions to showcase solutions.
Translate customer business needs into innovative storage and compute solutions to support growth and capacity.
Contribute to and lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs for AI and HPC solutions.
Promote interoperability, performance testing, and validation of solutions.
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to produce technical materials supporting solutions and market positioning.
Stay current with industry trends, competition, and market landscape to maintain thought leadership.
Provide post-sales technical support and expertise on storage, HPC, and AI solutions.
Engage in cross-functional communication and feedback with sales, engineering, and marketing teams.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
8 years of experience in the data center field, including hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive storage, networking, cloud, HPC, and AI architectures and standards
Technical pre-sales experience is required
Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients
Deep understanding of industry AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jax, etc.
Deep understanding of high performance, low latency, highly parallelized compute solutions at scale including compute, network, and storage
Deep understanding of accelerated compute environments such as GPU, ASIC, FPGA, etc.
Understanding of AI and HPC orchestration and management layers including Kubernetes, Slurm, Vertex, Sagemaker
Deep understanding of the convergence of HPC and AI infrastructure requirements and challenges
Understanding of classic unstructured data applications and next-generation analytics and web frameworks
Strong knowledge of Digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, including On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
Familiarity with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment
Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, windowing systems
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP (preferred but not mandatory)
Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures
Self-motivated individual with an ownership mindset who drives the business to overachieve expectations
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply
Ability to articulate and understand customer strategy and Pure Storage’s solution strategy to a technical level of detail for AI and HPC domains
Strong technical and tactical problem-solving skills with experience in complex engineering designs
Proficiency with CRM and opportunity management systems, preferably Salesforce.com
Ability to travel throughout the territories as required
