Job Description
An Accounting Intern role focused on supporting finance modernization initiatives, including ERP implementation and automation, while assisting with month-end closing processes and financial data analysis in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Core Finance ERP implementation project by assisting with process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Help execute monthly closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making and ad hoc financial projects.
- Build foundational expertise in core accounting operations and cross-functional financial analysis.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field with a strong interest in finance process improvement and automation.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to leverage AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini to enhance financial analysis, identify patterns, and synthesize insights while maintaining accuracy, data integrity, and strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively solve problems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to support the execution of monthly closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Ability to compile and analyze financial data sets to provide insights for critical decision-making and ad hoc financial projects.
- Ability to support process improvements and automation initiatives that increase the efficiency of global financial operations as part of the Core Finance ERP implementation project.
- Willingness to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara, CA office, in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
