Job Description

The role involves selling all-flash enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers in Northern Virginia, building strong customer relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding sales targets through team collaboration and prospecting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evangelize and demonstrate the value of Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction and drive business growth
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
  • Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Apply customer insights and technology expertise to position Pure's solutions and solve client challenges
  • Identify and prospect new customers, opening doors and navigating between executive and technical stakeholders
  • Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and foster teamwork internally and with partners
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, focusing on new logo acquisition and business development

Requirements

  • 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues
  • Experience selling into Commercial customers in Northern Virginia or the DC Metro Area
  • Ability to lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and win new customers
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business
  • Experience building and investing in customer relationships to establish value and drive customer satisfaction
  • Ability to build and manage a healthy and robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build and deepen relationships over time
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
  • Demonstrated prospecting skills with a proven ability to open doors to new customers and position solutions effectively
  • Ability to evangelize and explain all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers, ensuring understanding of Pure Storage’s total value proposition
  • Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
  • Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset to apply customer insights and technology expertise in solution positioning
  • Experience leading and managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teammates and strategic partners around the globe
  • Physical ability to navigate between the boardroom and data center as required
  • Willingness to be based in Northern Virginia or the DC Metro Area

Benefits & Perks

Annual base salary range of $108,500 - $163,000 USD
