Job Description

The role involves selling enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers, building strong relationships, leading sales strategies, and managing a pipeline to meet or exceed sales quotas, with a focus on customer success and technical solution positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate strategy and manage relationships with assigned accounts
  • Lead team-selling efforts with teammates and strategic partners to close business
  • Evangelize Pure Storage's data storage technology and solutions to customers
  • Build and develop customer relationships to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
  • Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas
  • Apply customer insights and technology expertise to position Pure's solutions effectively
  • Prospect and open new customer opportunities through active outreach
  • Manage complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders
  • Drive post-sales customer success and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues.
  • Experience selling into Commercial customers in the Greater Dallas Metro area, with current residence in or near Dallas, Texas.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business.
  • Ability to lead a complex sales process involving multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
  • Strong prospecting skills with a demonstrated ability to open doors to new customers and navigate seamlessly between the boardroom and the data center.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, with the ability to build and deepen customer relationships over time.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency.
  • Experience leading team-selling efforts with teammates and strategic partners to close business on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Ability to build and invest in customer relationships to establish Pure Storage's value and drive high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Experience evangelizing enterprise storage technology and data solutions, ensuring customers understand the total value proposition.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset, applying customer insights and technology expertise to position solutions effectively.
  • Ability to develop account plans and lead pursuit teams to engage all internal resources needed to win new customers.
  • Passion for post-sales customer success.
